3:00 p.m. - Women's Substance Use Diversion Program Graduation. Two or more Commissioners may attend.
11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Stepping Up Initiative Recognition. Two or more Commissioners may be in attendance.
Douglas County and partner agencies will host an event May 14 to recognize the community collaboration and work that has been accomplished to significantly reduce the number of people with serious mental illnesses in the Douglas County Correctional Facility. It will be 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at the Cider Gallery, 810 Pennsylvania St., and is being held in conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Month and Stepping Up Month of Action.
New Directions in Behavioral Health Community Event. Two or more Commissioners may be in attendance.
5:00-8:00 p.m. - Positive Bright Start Craft & Compassion Fundraiser located at the Eldridge Hotel. Two or more Commissioners may be in attendance.
5:30-7:00 p.m. 2019 Pioneer Celebration recognizing individuals and organizations that contribute their time, effort and energy to advance the mental health of the Douglas County community. (Two or more Commissioners may be in attendance)
Douglas County and partner agencies will provide an update about behavioral health initiatives during a community event “New Directions in Behavioral Health” 5:30-7 p.m. May 6 in the Lawrence Public Library auditorium, 707 Vermont St. The event is free, open to the public and being held in conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Month. Light refreshments will be available.
6:00-8:00 p.m. - Growing Good Neighbors event hosted by the Food Policy Council. Two or more Commissioners may attend. No County business will be conducted.
