Fire Chief
Lyle has been with the department since the beginning in 1983 and was appointed Chief of the department in 1993.
Originally formed in 1983 as Willow Springs Township Fire Department, then reorganized in 2015 into what is now Willow Springs Fire District #3.
History
From 1983-2014 Willow Springs Fire covered only Willow Springs Township as its primary response area. With the reorganization in 2015 Willow Springs Fire District #3 now provides Fire and Emergency Medical first response for all of Willow Springs Township as well as the Southern portion of Marion Township in Southern Douglas County, Kansas. Willow Springs Fire is proud to serve the citizens of Douglas County for the last 40 years with a group of dedicated volunteers.
