Division 4 hears the following types of cases: Probate, Limited Civil, and Chapter 60 Major Civil.

Court Rules

Chamber Copies

Unless the document is more than 10 pages, Chamber’s copies of all motions and other matters required under Local Rule 16 may be accomplished by emailing the document as an attachment to the Division 4 administrative assistant. For all documents over 10 pages, hard copies should be delivered to the Division 4 administrative assistant.

Required Language for Notice of Hearing in Limited Cases

In addition to information about the date/time/place and purpose of the hearing, all notices of hearing for any limited action case in Division 4 must include the following:

If Zoom attendance is an option, the Notice must state that the hearing will occur in the Division 4 Courtroom at 111 E. 11th Street, Lawrence, Kansas, and that parties may attend in person OR via Zoom.

Each Notice must state, after the information about the hearing and before the signature line, the following language: You may go online to https:​//casesearch.kscourts.gov to see updated information about your case.
