I have sold my vehicle. What do I do?

If you do not intend to transfer the plate to a new vehicle, you may be eligible for a refund of remaining property tax. Please make a packet of the following

  1. The Refund Worksheet (PDF) filled out and signed — Instructions (PDF)
  2. Copy of registration
  3. Plate

Use the drop box in the small parking lot South of the old Courthouse at 1100 Massachusetts St. or the drop box in the parking lot West of the Treasurer's Office at 2601 W. 6th St. A refund check will be mailed to you.

I just acquired a new/used vehicle and do not have a plate off a car I no longer own to use as a temporary tag. What do I do?

I lost the title to my vehicle. What do I do?

Get in line virtually at the Sixth Street Office, or visit one of our locations in person.

I have a disabled form for a new placard signed by my doctor. What do I do?

You may do one of two options:

IN PERSON: Get in line virtually at the 6th Street Office, or visit one of our locations in person.

BY DROP BOX: Put your form in an envelope. Make a note if you want 1 or 2 placards. Write your last name on the outside of the envelope and ‘Disabled Placard’. Use the drop box in the small parking lot South of the old Courthouse at 1100 Massachusetts St. or the drop box in the parking lot West of the Treasurer's Office at 2601 W. 6th St. Your placards will be mailed to you.

I need to renew placards that are about to expire. What do I do?

Print and fill out the Kansas Disabled Parking Certificate form (PDF). You then may do one of two options:
