Electronics Recycling (E-Waste)
Since 2008, the City of Lawrence and Douglas County have hosted periodic electronics recycling events, inviting customers to drop off their recyclable electronics free of charge.
The 2024 Electronics Recycling Event was held on June 8 at Free State High School in Lawrence, KS. The next drop-off event in Douglas County will be planned for 2025. Details will be posted here when information is available.
Those looking for other options to recycle electronics should utilize the recyclable materials directory to find additional drop-off sites and other recycling options throughout the year. The annual recycling events are the only government-sponsored electronics disposal option able to be offered at this time.
