Commission Board Attendance on Fri, December 2, 2022 - 9:00 AM

Douglas County/Lawrence Metro Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (YEC) will be held on Friday, December 2nd from 9 AM to 1 PM at The Dwayne Peaslee Technical Training Center. This is an annual event hosted by the Douglas County and Lawrence Metro E-Communities in partnership with Network Kansas. Since taking office, I have sought to publicly announce policy decisions and the reasoning behind these decisions. My hope is to help the community better understand how our criminal justice system works and the role of the District Attorney. In discussions with various groups, I’ve found that a common misconception is that the District Attorney’s Office is responsible for imposing sentences.
