How we get food matters to everyone in our community. We want to hear from Douglas County residents about their experiences and thoughts around food and farming. From the farmer to the school gardener, the food pantry shelf to the grocery shelf, we all have an important role in our local food system. 

Your answers to this survey will help set priorities that will guide future decisions and work in our community.

Public Safety Building

Construction started in the spring of 2025 on a Public Safety Building that will be located on land currently owned by the county and near the Douglas County Correctional Facility, 3601 E. 25th St. The Public Safety Building will house Emergency Communications and Emergency Management in 11,500-square-feet of space at the basement level, which is designed and will be constructed as a storm-hardened structure.
