8:15 Register of Deeds requesting $44,557 to add recording clerk (TAB 12)

8:35 Emergency Management to discuss state funding contingencies in case a full-time planner ($57,628) and  a part-time administrative secretary ($26,257) are not funded by state (TABS 15/16)

8:50 Building Maintenance requesting additional maintenance worker for $56,131 (TAB 9)

9:05 District Court and Community Corrections requesting funding for surveillance officers no longer funded by  state (included in recommended budget) $140,825 and funding for half of Citizen Review Board Director  no longer funded from state sources $41,435 (TAB 2/3)

9:35 Public Works to discuss budget request for additional civil engineer (included in recommended budget)  $60,200; and request for (1) road and bridge superintendent for $76,784; and (1) equipment operator for  $55,099 not included in recommended budget (TABS 4/10/11)

10:05  Sheriff to discuss budget and (4) corrections officers included in recommended budget for $222,486)  (TAB 5); two additional corrections officers for $111,243 not included in recommended budget (TAB 13);  and (1) full-time reentry case manager for $64,888 not included in recommended budget (TAB 14)

10:30 Issues related to the City of Eudora including request to invest $500,000 to purchase land for economic  development initiatives not included in recommended budget (TAB 18); and to provide support for staffing  paramedic service in Eudora (TAB 18)

Flory called the budget meeting to order at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, with all members present.

The Board conducted 2016 budget hearings.

No action was taken.

Flory moved to adjourn the meeting; Gaughan seconded and the motion carried 3-0.
