April 17, 2025 4:14 pm

Douglas County Public Works is set to launch two projects on Monday, April 21, resulting in road closures within the county.

Weather permitting, North 1100 Road will be closed between East 1600 and East 1700 Road for a bridge repair project. This work is expected to take approximately four weeks to complete.

Additionally, crews will close Route 1061 (East 2200 Road) between North 700 and North 900 Road to undertake several improvements. These include culvert replacements, intersection reconstruction at North 800 Road, and a mill-and-overlay for the two-mile highway stretch. Traffic will be detoured via Route 458, Route 1057, and Route 460. The project is anticipated to take four months.

Public Works appreciates your patience as they work to enhance safety and improve travel in Douglas County.
