The Douglas County Public Works Department announces that beginning Thursday, March 26, 2015, E 1750 Road between N 400 Road (Route 12; State Lake Road) and N 500 Road will be closed to through traffic.  The closure is temporary, and will remain in place while Route 1055 is closed to through traffic between N 400 Road and N 500 Road for construction work.

Residents along E 1750 Road will be able to access their properties from N 400 Road only.  There will be no traffic allowed on E 1750 Road between N 500 Road and ¼-mile south of N 500 Road.

The E 1750 Road closure is due to safety concerns resulting from significantly increased traffic using the road while Route 1055 is closed.  The geometry and condition of E 1750 Road is not appropriate to safely handle the increased traffic.

A signed detour for the current Route 1055 closure is in place.  The signed detour follows US-56 highway, US-59 highway, and Route 460 (N 650 Rd/N 600 Rd).
