There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 20, about the proposed Douglas County Public Safety Building. The meeting will be a come-and-go event from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Public Works/Zoning and Codes building, 3755 E. 25th St., and it is open to the public.

The proposed building, 3601 E. 25th St., will be constructed to the west of the Douglas County Correctional Facility. The building will house the Emergency Communications Center, Emergency Management Department and Sheriff's Office staff.
