The City of Lawrence’s Summerfest is from 4 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, July 4, at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, 2120 Harper Street. The community is invited to this free Independence Day celebration featuring children’s activities, music, busking performances, a tribute gallery and food trucks. A drone show is scheduled for 10 p.m. Viewing will be available from the derby arena.
