The Algerian community will host a Thank You Celebration for the Lawrence community at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at The Granada Theater, 1020 Massachusetts St. This event is free, open to all ages and a way to celebrate the connections built between Algeria and Lawrence this summer. It will include an Algerian potluck, treats, refreshments, face painting, a fashion show with a live DJ and music.
