The Grassland Heritage Foundation has received a 2022 grant from the Douglas County Heritage Conservation Council for a prairie restoration project at Prairie Park in Lawrence. Volunteers are needed for a workday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, at Prairie Park. To volunteer or for more information, visit grasslandheritage.org/prairiepark. The project will be completed in partnership with Native Lands LLC, Haskell Indian Nations University, Lawrence Parks and Recreation and the Kansas Association for Conservation and Environmental Education.
