The Common Ground program will hold a workshop and field demonstration on fall cover crops from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at the Incubator Farm, just east of the Highway 24-40 intersection in north Lawrence. Kansas Rural Center Executive Director Tom Buller will explain the basics of soil health, benefits of cover cropping for organic vegetable growers, types of cover crops, and optimum times for planting.
