    • Determine quorum of members, agenda approval
      1. Motion by Elizabeth to approve the agenda with the addition of item “V. FPC Day at the Capital”, second by Ashley. Motion passes.
    • Approval of January 31 meeting minutes  
      1. Motion to approve by Elizabeth, second by Emily. Motion passes.
    • Introductions
      1. Welcome to new members: Emily Lysen (Lawrence appointment), Maggie Bornholdt (Lawrence appointment), Margit Kaltenekker (pending County appointment)

  2. Public Comment: 6:40-6:45pm
  3. Policy Opportunity: County Vegetation Management Plan: 6:45-6:50pm
    • County seeking FPC input on policy that will influence chemical use and noxious weed management.
  4. Review of FPC Purpose; Preview of Policy & Planning Work for 2022: 6:50-7:50pm
    • Discussion with Jill Jolicoeur, Assistant to County Administrator
      1. Two-part purpose: advise on food system-related policy; host forum to discover opportunities not being talked about in government.
        1. Role of members as individuals could use more clarity.
      2. The County is planning to pilot compensation structure for board members with lived experiences; pilot with CJCC is first step.
      3. There is opportunity to further explore FPC hosting candidate forums on food system issues. Other examples exist in the community with public entities.
  5. Agenda Addition: Discussion about FPC Day at the Capital
    • Motion by Elizabeth to approve up to $100 to reimburse attending members for mileage, second by Cody. Motion passes.
  6. Launching development of Food System Plan Impact Report & Dashboard: 7:50-8:20pm
    • Conversation with local food system consultant, Eileen Horn
      1. Questions for staff, consultant to explore:
        1. Is MySidewalk a dashboard option to align with existing community platforms?
        2. What options can be built for the community to offer feedback on/interact with the dashboard?
      2. Narrative impacts will be a component: storytelling will be an opportunity to deliver on metrics identified by the community that we don’t have data for at this time.
      3. FPC has the opportunity to help identify metrics most relevant to Douglas County, and narratives that should be gathered.
