- The Senator would like to learn what services County farmers really need. She would like to hear from FPC/Extension to work on next year.
- Raw Milk labeling no longer as restrictive, make commodity more accessible to small farms.
- Potential food tax credit for low-income residents. Would be refundable, not just a credit on taxes owed as it is now.
- Representative Eileen Horn
- Bill to prevent any regulations on single-use plastics of all kinds would impact waste reduction efforts locally with food service and retail.
- Bill to label imitation/plant-based meat: “Does not contain meat.”

- Aggies: Continued Farmers’ Market support; Continued Strategic Growth Initiative input and submission; Host farm tour for elected officials; Prioritize training for jobs in culinary and ag sectors; Work on Goal #3 with Conservation District.
- Health Equity: Destigmatize public assistance programs; Prioritize removing transportation barriers; Expand WG membership to include lived experience; Partner with existing efforts (GIS, Health Equity Report, Zoning, Transit).
- Forward: Foster culture of reduction; Expand Toolkit to other sectors; Investigate policy opportunities to discourage waste; Assess funding shortages for food recovery; Support compost programs in schools; Expand gleaning initiatives.
