Douglas County District Court hearings open to public using YouTube live stream

May 18, 2020 4:28 pm

Douglas County District Court hearings are open to the public via live streaming on its YouTube channel.

"Open and public hearings are an essential and fundamental part of the integrity of our legal system," Chief Judge James R. McCabria said in announcing the live stream option. "We are aware that not everyone has online access but we also know that not everyone can arrange transportation to the courthouse. The ability to live stream is just another way we are adapting to the circumstances we face during these challenging times."

These are live streams only. Once the hearing is over, the video will be deleted. No recording is allowed. All rules of court apply.
