The Douglas County Long-term Recovery Committee is finalizing the list of unmet community needs following the May 28 tornado and August 1 flood event.

Representatives from Douglas County will be calling individuals who indicated additional needs using 2-1-1.

Anyone who was impacted by either event or who does not receive a phone call from Douglas County by Tuesday, Sept. 3, can complete an online survey. Requests for assistance will be considered by the Long-term Recovery Committee and be prioritized based upon need and available funding. Submission of a completed survey does not guarantee funding.

The survey will ask about insurance payments, financial assistance received, floodplain status, etc. The detailed information assists the Committee in funding or other assistance allocation.

Submissions received by Sept. 6 will be prioritized for possible funding. The survey link is: http://dgcoks.org/assistsurvey.
