Missouri Woman Enters Plea in Drowning Death

Douglas County District Attorney Charles Branson announces today that Scharron R. Dingledine, 26, Columbia, MO entered guilty pleas to Murder in the First Degree and Attempted Murder in the First Degree on Monday, December 17th, 2018 in the Division 6 courtroom of the Douglas County District Court.

 

Count 1 – Murder in the First Degree carries a prison sentence of life with the possibility of parole after serving 25 years. Depending on Dingledine’s criminal history Count 2 – Attempted Murder in the First Degree carries a sentence of 147 to 165 months. The Honorable Peggy C. Kittel ordered Dingledine undergo a presentence investigation and set sentencing for January 22nd, 2019 at 3:00 PM.

 

The case was investigated by the Lawrence Police Department. The case prosecuted by District Attorney Charles E. Branson and Senior Assistant District Attorney Amy A. McGowan.
