Firework Stand Permit Locator Web App

To find a licensed fireworks stand for your Independence Day celebrations, Douglas County GIS has created an interactive web app of permit locations. Please visit our Firework Stand Permit Locator map at http://gis.douglascountyks.org/fireworks to find the nearest stand to your location and get driving directions.

Douglas County regulates the retail sale of fireworks at firework stands holding a permit issued by Douglas County and such regulations limit retail sale of fireworks. Anyone interested in purchasing fireworks may do so at a licensed stand from July 1 to 4 each year.

As a reminder, the City of Lawrence is a fireworks-free city. Novelty items are the only things allowed within those city limits. Find a safe place in the county to celebrate with a bang!
