What can I do if I do not believe the value of my property is correct?

There are three opportunities to appeal the value of your property:

  • The Notice of Value for your property is mailed approximately March 1st of each year. Fill out the form on the back within 30 days of the mail date.
  • If you miss this appeal period, you my fill out a Payment Under Protest form and turn it into the Treasurer's Office when you pay your taxes, which are due December 20th for the first half of the tax bill.
  • If you do not appeal during these first two periods, you may file a Payment Under Protest with your second half tax payment due on May 10th.

You cannot appeal with a Payment Under Protest if you have already appealed prior within the same tax year.

More information is provided on our Value Appeals page.
