By law, all personal property subject to taxes must be filed on a rendition and filed with the county appraiser on or before March 15th. Oil and gas renditions must be filed before April 1st. The county appraiser may extend these deadlines if the taxpayer submits in writing a statement of reasons for an exemption and is received by the deadline dates above.
